Happy summer and some other thoughts.

Hello. I’m K. and welcome to my blog. I don’t know what I’m going to do with it just yet, but I’d love to write about things I’ve read or watched, about experiences and travels. I hope I take you along with me in my day-to-day life and maybe show you around Athens at some point. Future is uncertain so I won’t make any promises.

Right now, I’m getting ready to leave the mother city for my home town for summer break. There is a lot of excitement but there is sadness as well. I am very much in love with Athens. The chaos, the people, the neighbourhoods, the sunsets. But there always comes a time when you have to take a break, see the most important people in your life(aka friends and family) and have fun. Also, travel! (note the excitement!)

So I’m heading home after a year with a lot of good memories and new experiences hoping that when I come back in the city, everything will be slightly better for everyone. These days have been dark. The political situation after the referendum and the painful negotiation from the government have left Greece socially and financially traumatized. But I’ll leave you in a happy tone and probably get into it more in the next post.

For now, I’m wishing you all a great summer!

Here’s to amazing times, incredible memories and a great start for this blog.

See you later,

K.
